Tanto ellos como una docena más de expertos en estos temas estarán desde el jueves 5 de marzo y hasta el domingo 8 en las instalaciones del Jardín Botánico de Medellín y del Parque Explora en Fractal'09, un gran evento con conciertos, instalaciones artísticas, charlas y exposiciones. La idea, según los organizadores, es abrir la mente para que los espectadores se den cuenta de que cualquiera puede construir el futuro.

Wendy y Gustavo - Pequeñas personas latinas
La apropiación de las bibliotecas públicas en Medellín*
Desde la pasada administración, la ciudad ha tenido transformaciones sociales a partir de la construcción de las mega bibliotecas públicas. Independiente de su manejo, esos espacios han servido para que personas del común se destaquen por sus facultades de liderazgo, impactando directamente su pequeña comunidad.
Tomando como sede la biblioteca pública de Belén, Wendy ayuda a construir el sueño y transformación de muchas personas de "talla baja", lucha porque las discapacidades de todos los que como ella sean discutidas en la agenda de la actual alcaldía.
Es madre, tiene una hija de 4 años que a su corta edad la sobrepasa en altura.
En el video aparece Gustavo, integrantes de la Corporación "Pequeñas personas latinas", hablandonos de algunas de las tantas dificultades que tienen estas personas en la cotidianidad.

Quietly at noon yesterday, as the world was fixated on the televised inauguration of Barack Obama, some obscure IT managers flipped a switch (metaphorically) and transferred Change.gov to Whitehouse.gov... While the inauguration spectacle was inspiring and the speech lived up to its promise, Whitehouse.gov is the herald of bigger changes. Government is entering the Internet age and Barack Obama is our first Internet president.

Mr. Obama won the election because he saw what is wrong with this country: the utter failure of government to protect its citizens. He promised to lead a government that does not try to solve every problem but will do those things beyond the power of individual citizens: to regulate the economy fairly, keep the air clean and the food safe, ensure that the sick have access to health care, and educate children to compete in a globalized world.
